Romantic and historically important Urbania has been rebuilt on the walls of the antique Castel Durante by Pope Urban in 1284 and took its name in honour of its famous founder. The place became the biggest township in the upper Metauro valley and  centre of ceramics and Majolica art. 
Urbania unites medieval architecture, beautiful landscape and highest quality of life. It is  hosting an important language school and many branches of the fashion industry. The area around Urbania has the lowest density of population in Italy but lots of history and relicts from the past combined with lively cheerful modern life.
Nearest airports: Ancona, Rimini (45 minutes) and Bologna (90 minutes) drive on good roads and motorways.
